RTSA CAUTIONS MOTORISTS AGAINST LAWLESSNESS DURING THE LONG WEEKEND

LUSAKA, May, 24th 2018 — The Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) has warned motorists against lawlessness during this long weekend as the country commemorates the Africa Freedom Day.

LUSAKA, May, 24th 2018 — The Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) has warned motorists against lawlessness during this long weekend as the country commemorates the Africa Freedom Day.

The RTSA is cautioning those attending social events during this period across the country not to drive under the influence of alcohol as they risk being prosecuted.

All road users are advised to observe all traffic rules and regulations as they engage in various activities that require them to use the road.

The Agency has deployed adequate officers along all major roads in the country to ensure total compliance among motorists and safety for all road users.

Statistics have shown that road accidents are prominent during holidays.

To prevent this, the RTSA is on high alert to ensure that road safety prevails during and after the long weekend.
Members of the public are also implored to be proactive and make use of the RTSA Call Centre by reporting bad, careless and dangerous drivers on the toll free line - 983 and the WhatsApp line 0965 429499.
