The Government of the Republic of Zambia (GRZ) finalized and adopted a Transport Policy in the year 2002. As a consequence of this development, the roads and road transport sector of the economy is undergoing institutional and structural reforms. Three road agencies have been formed through acts of parliament under line ministries.
