PROVISIONAL DRIVING LICENCE

Requirements:

  • Medical certificate.
  • 18 years of age.
  • Copy of identity: i.e. NRC Or Passport.
  •  Fee payable  is K117.00
  • Fee payable for practical driver’s  test is K87.00, this is 7 days after getting a provisional licence.
  • Printing of licence after passing practical test K144.00.

CONVERSION OF FOREIGN DRIVERS LICENCE

Requirements:

  •  National registration card or Passport.
  • Valid foreign driver’s licence.
  •  Authentication of driver’s licence from the issuing office or embassy.
  •     Roadworthy motor vehicle according to class applied.
  •  Fee Payable is K 348.00.

 

RENEWAL OF DRIVERS LICENCE 

Requirements:

  •  Copy of Identity: i.e. NRC Or Passport.
  • Copy of driver’s licence.
  • Fee payable is K312.00.

RENEWAL  OF EXPIRED DRIVERS  LICENCE 

Requirements:

  •  Copy of Identity: i.e. NRC Or Passport.
  • Copy of driver’s licence.
  • Fee payable is K398.00.

REPLACEMENT OF LOST DRIVERS LICENCE

Requirements:

  • Police report.
  • General Affidavit.
  • Copy of identity: i.e. NRC Or Passport.
  • Fee payable  is K144.00.

Note: If the licence is expired, the cost is K398.00.

REPLACEMENT OF A DEFACED DRIVERS LICENCE

Requirements:

  • Police Report. 
  • Actual defaced licence.
  • Fee payable  is K144.00.

PUBLIC SERVICE VEHICLE (PSV) ENDORSEMENT

 PASSENGERS CLASS B, C1 and C

Requirements:

  • Medical certificate, which should be accompanied with a receipt from an approved government medical facility.
  • 25 years of age and above.
  • Copy of identity: i.e. NRC Or Passport.
  • 2 years’ experience.
  •  Fee payable for provisional licence after theory test K117.00.
  • Fee payable for practical driver’s  test is K87.00, this is 7 days after getting a provisional licence.
  • Printing of licence after passing practical test K364.00.

PUBLIC SERVICE VEHICLE (PSV) ENDORSEMENT

 DANGEROUS GOODS

Requirements:

  • Medical certificate, should be accompanied by a receipt from an approved government medical facility.
  • 18 years of age.
  • Copy of identity: i.e. NRC Or Passport.
  • HAZCHAM Certificate, certification on handling of hazardous materials.
  •  Fee payable for provisional licence after passing theory test K117.00.
  • Fee payable for practical driver’s test is K87.00, this is 7 days after getting a provisional licence.  
  • Printing of licence after passing practical test K364.00.

PUBLIC SERVICE VEHICLE (PSV) ENDORSEMENT 

 GOODS

Requirements:

  •  Fee payable for provisional licence after theory test K117.00.
  • Fee payable for practical driver’s  test is K87.00, this is 7 days after getting a provisional licence.
  • Printing of licence after passing practical test K364.00

Noted: Limited to 8 passengers only

DRIVING INSTRUCTORS LICENCE

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 25 years of age.
  • Must be a Zambian citizen.
  • Must be a holder of a valid Zambian driver’s licence endorsed with PSV class.
  • Must have undertaken defensive driving lessons.
  • Must show proof of having the ability to administer First Aid.
  • Copy of driver’s licence.
  • Medical certificate.
  • Fees payable: Test of competence is K132.00.
  • Instructors Licence is K162.00.

PROVISIONAL RIDERS LICENCE

Requirements:

  • Medical certificate.
  • 16 years of age.
  • Copy of identity: i.e. NRC Or Passport.
  •  Fee payable  is K117.00
  • Fee payable for practical driver’s  test is K87.00, this is 7 days after getting the provisional licence.
  • Printing of licence after passing practical test K144.00.

  • Two Passport size photos.
  • Fee payable is K81.00.
